Regional jet engines: maximum dispatch reliability
Operating under the PowerLife™ banner, PowerJet (the 50/50 joint company between Safran Aircraft Engines and UEC Saturn) offers Superjet 100 operators a complete range of support services for their SaM146 propulsion system (engine and nacelle).
PowerLife™: a complete range of targeted support services
The SaM146 regional jet engine is designed from the ground up to facilitate maintenance operations, on wing or in the shop, while keeping costs under control.
Calling on the proven expertise and industrial capabilities of Safran Aircraft Engines and UEC Saturn, PowerLife™ services help keep Superjet 100 jets in the air and reduce costs for their operators.
Since entering service in 2011, the SaM146 has logged dispatch reliability exceeding 99.9%, with reduced maintenance costs compared to others engines in the same class.
PowerJet's support contracts are custom-tailored to Superjet 100 operators' requirements to ensure maximum dispatch reliability.
These support services are built around a Customer Support Manager, the single-point-of-contact for each customer, a field representative assigned to airlines, the PowerJet Customer Support Center (CSC), open 24/7, and all technical publications, available online via the customer portal. PowerJet's two training centers, in France and Russia, provide a complete range of training courses for customer crews.
The SaM146 features the latest technological advances in terms of in-flight diagnostics; a health monitoring system ensures optimum scheduling of maintenance operations, whether on-wing or in the shop.
The PowerLife™ network calls on two MRO centers certified to Part 145, and two spare parts distribution centers.
PowerLife™ also offers various contracts for this regional jet including LRU (line replaceable unit) support to minimize AOG (aircraft on ground) situations, along with engine leasing, shop visits that call on OEM expertise, and specialized services for the nacelle.
