Job description

The NSL's role consists in managing the repair suppliers for engine parts during the shop visits for all the maintenance network of Safran Aircraft Engines (MRO network).
He guarantees the delivery of repaired parts according to the timeframe validated with the shops and negotiated with the repair suppliers, so that the shop visit schedules (TAT or Turn around Time) can be at target.
The NSL participates to the MRO network meetings in relation to the management of the repaired parts' flow, such as the Operation Room. He is the voice of the shops in front of the repair suppliers.

His main contacts are the supply chain teams of the shops in the MRO network (the internal customers) and the repair suppliers which can be both external or internal (Safran Aircraft Engines repair shops).
A portfolio of repair suppliers is given to the Network supply leader, who monitors them on behalf of all the shops in the MRO network.
His activities are carried out in collaboration with all the players involved in supplier relations, in particular the purchasing department and the supplier performance managers (SPM).

Main missions are:
Management of repairs

  • - Express the repair needs of the shops to the suppliers
  • - Manage the process and compliance with commitments
  • - Identify high-risk repairs, drifts and alert the customers
  • - Manage suppliers' risks
  • - Suggest and implement containment actions

Development of suppliers' performance, in collaboration with the SPMs

  • - Contribute to the continuous improvement of the suppliers
  • - Contribute to the improvement of the suppliers' one-time delivery rate (OTD).
  • - Participate to the Monthly Performance Reviews (MPR)

The Network Supplier Leader (NSL) is a member of the integrated supply chain team (LMP) of the civil engine maintenance department (LM) within the Safran Aircraft Engines service and repair division (L).
