Finance Intern

Classification: Nonexempt
Reports to: Accounting lead
Date: 05/01/2019

Summary/Objective

Responsible for assisting the CFM Materials Finance team, on task such as accounts reconciliation, digitalization and internal control. This position requires frequent coordination with AP. This position also requires the ability to work in a detail-oriented environment, and involves frequent correspondence with individuals in the Finance Departments.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities

  • • Assist in accounts reconciliation for the monthly closing
  • • Help insure that the Accounts Payable are up to date by assisting with data entry and reaching out to vendors for pending balances and invoices
  • • Test the effectiveness of procedures for the internal control campaign
  • • Review the core data to insure accuracy
  • • Help digitalize the finance processes

Competencies

Required Education and Experience

 Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting or related business field.
 Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint needed.

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
