Production of 3D woven composite parts

Inaugurated in 2018, the Safran Aero Composites Mexico plant is the third Safran/Albany facility dedicated to the production of these LEAP parts. Based on the same model as the two existing plants, in Rochester, New Hampshire and Commercy (eastern France), it makes fan blades of 3D-woven composites using the RTM (resin transfer molding) process for the LEAP engine, as well as outlet guide vanes (OGV).
