Our solutions for regional aviation
Regional aviation benefits from the growth in medium- and long-haul air traffic. Many of the routes handled by these 50 to 100-seat aircraft are used to link medium-size cities to major hubs.
Changing demand over the last decade spurred a need for a new-generation regional jet, giving operators excellent performance and cabin comfort, combined with lower operating costs. To address this requirement, Sukhoi developed a new 100-seat regional jet, the Superjet 100, for which Safran Aircraft Engines, through PowerJet (a 50/50 joint company with NPO Saturn), designed and produced a complete optimized propulsion system, the SaM146.
